FMD
This Foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) non-structural protein ELISA antibody detection kit is suitable for detecting antibodies against the non-structural protein 3ABC in the serum of cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs, allowing for the identification of wild-type infected animals from immunized animal populations.
This kit uses a blocking ELISA method, pre-coating FMDV 3ABC antigen onto the microwells of an ELISA strip. In the experiment, diluted test serum is added and incubated. If the sample contains specific antibodies against FMDV 3ABC antigen, they will bind to the antigen on the coated strip. After washing to remove unbound antibodies and other components, enzyme-labeled monoclonal antibody is added. The antibody in the sample blocks the binding of the monoclonal antibody to the antigen on the coated strip. After washing to remove unbound enzyme labeling, TMB substrate solution is added to the microwells. The blue signal generated by enzyme catalysis is inversely proportional to the antibody concentration in the sample. The reaction is terminated by adding stop solution, and the absorbance (OD) value of the reaction wells is measured using an ELISA reader at a wavelength of 450 nm.
