The Pseudorabies virus (PRV) gB protein antibody detection kit is used to detect specific antibodies against PRV-gB antigen in porcine serum. It is a serological auxiliary diagnostic reagent for assessing vaccine immunization status or infection.
This kit uses a blocking ELISA method, with PRV-gB antigen pre-coated on the microwells of an enzyme-labeled strip. In the experiment, diluted serum is added to the sample. After incubation, if the sample contains specific anti-PRV-gB antibodies, they bind to the antigen on the coated strip. After washing to remove unbound antibodies and other components, enzyme-labeled PRV-gB antibodies are added. The antibodies in the sample block the binding of the enzyme-labeled antibody to the antigen on the coated strip. After washing to remove unbound enzyme labeling, TMB chromogenic solution is added to the microwells. The blue signal generated by enzyme catalysis is inversely proportional to the antibody concentration in the sample. After stopping the reaction with stop solution, the absorbance (OD) value of the reaction wells is measured using an ELISA reader at a wavelength of 450 nm.
