This ELISA antibody detection kit for porcine Japanese encephalitis (JE) is used to detect specific antibodies against JE virus in porcine serum, providing a serological auxiliary diagnosis for assessing JE vaccination status or infection in pig farms.
This kit uses an indirect ELISA method, pre-coating purified JE virus antigen onto the microwells of an enzyme-labeled strip. In the experiment, diluted test serum is added and incubated. If the sample contains JE virus-specific antibodies, they bind to the antigen on the coated strip. After washing to remove unbound antibodies and other components, enzyme-labeled secondary antibody is added, which specifically binds to the antigen-antibody complex on the detection strip. After washing to remove unbound enzyme label, TMB substrate solution is added to the microwells, and the enzyme catalyzes the formation of a blue product. The reaction is terminated by adding stop solution, and the absorbance (OD) value of the reaction wells is measured using an ELISA reader at a wavelength of 450 nm.
