The Avian Influenza Virus H5 Subtype ELISA Antibody Detection Kit detects antibodies to the H5 subtype of avian influenza in chicken serum. It is used to assess the immunization status of chickens at poultry farms following avian influenza vaccination and to assist in the serological diagnosis of infected chickens.
This kit employs an indirect ELISA method, with avian influenza H5 antigen pre-coated on the microplates. During the assay, diluted test serum is added to the wells. After incubation, if the sample contains avian influenza H5-specific antibodies, they will bind to the antigen coated on the plate. After washing to remove unbound antibodies and other components, an enzyme-labeled secondary antibody is added, which specifically binds to the antigen-antibody complex on the plate. Unbound enzyme-labeled secondary antibody is then washed away, TMB substrate is added to the microplates, and an enzyme-catalyzed reaction produces a blue product. After adding a stop solution to terminate the reaction, the optical density (OD) value in the reaction wells is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm using a microplate reader.
