From June 1, the revised "Medical Device Supervision and Administration Regulations" was officially implemented. This is the first revision of the medical device supervision regulations in my country in 14 years. This means that the supervision and market operation of medical devices have entered a new stage.

According to statistics from the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products, in the first half of 2012, the total import and export volume of medical devices reached US$13.83 billion, a year-on-year increase of 14.76%, 27.55 percentage points lower than the same period last year. Among them, the export value was US$8.127 billion, a year-on-year increase of 13.93%, 30.94 percentage points lower than the same period last year.
